Video playback issue arises with new Xbox 360 Dashboard
Has Microsoft ignored beta-testers' feedback?
It appears that Microsoft has ignored some fairly significant issues with the new Xbox 360 Dashboard update that were highlighted during the beta testing phase.
Apparently the new update, which is designed to incorporate the new video content due to arrive over the next few months has some quality issues with video playback. Limited RGB levels result in washed out colours and blacks looking decidedly grey.
Those that reported the issue during the beta phase were met with the following response: "Thanks for the feedback! Though we will not be able to incorporate your feedback into this release we will save it for consideration in future releases. Thanks for using the new Xbox Update and please keep up the feedback!"
It is curious that Microsoft would choose to ignore this issue given their heavy focus on bringing video content to Xbox Live.
