Job adverts have emerged pointing to the possibility that are working on their next generation of console hardware.

Three posts have opened up in all in Microsoft's Console Architecture Group, one for a graphics architect, one for a senior architect and performance engineer and a senior hardware design verification engineer.

The first two posts are to work on "next-generation console architectures from conception through implementation" and the third is said to be "responsible for the design verification and qualification of the Xbox console at the component, motherboard, and system levels."

At the current stage of the console cycle this could be more revisions to the current 360 hardware but it seems more likely that they could be moving on to their next console. Microsoft has yet to confirm or deny the reports.

Thanks Beyond 3D.
