Wild ARMs dev on iPhone RPG
Major game on the way
Media.Vision, the Japanese development studio responsible for the well respected Wild ARMs series on PlayStation, is working with publisher Square Enix on an original iPhone and iPod touch role-playing game.
Details are scarce, though the news comes from a jobs listing posted on the developer's website. A commitment for a 2010 release is offered.
That Media.Vision is working on an iPhone game is significant in and of itself. This is an experienced studio that will likely craft a quality title.
More interesting still is Square Enix publishing what we assume is a major original title. While the company has released a few original games to the App Store, most have been smaller titles. This could be the first big iPhone push from the Japanese company.
