Apple claims in excess of 20,000 games on iPhone
Madden NFL 10 launching on App Store today
Steve Jobs took to the stage at an Apple event yesterday for the first time since recovering from illness, the big cheese confirming that Madden NFL 10 is on the way to an App Store release for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
In addition, Jobs highlighted the impact of the App Store digital download platform, claiming that over 21,000 games are available for Apple's devices, in contrast to the 607 for Sony's PSP and the 3,680 on the Nintendo DS.
A price cut for the iPod Touch was also ushered in, the 8Gb model falling from 229 USD to 199 USD, the 32Gb dropping to 299 USD and the 64Gb edition falling to 399 USD.
Madden NFL 10, meanwhile, hits the App Store today costing 9.99 USD (or 7.99 USD just for today). The game was demonstrated on stage at Apple's shindig.
